TravelSystem: Travel Order and Reimbursement Software
OIT developed the TravelSystem travel request software, which is offered at no charge to departments.
OSU Medical Center users will have this software downloaded to their computer by October 31.
For all other users, the
Travel software is available for download at:
https://oit.osu.edu/TravelSystem/
Access to the site to download the software uses your standard OSU Internet username and password
For logging into the software program itself, however, use the userid and password provided by the Travel Office, which is available through your unit's Senior Fiscal Officer.
Note: If you are experiencing difficulties accessing this site:
- Check to be sure you are using "https:" at the beginning of the web address
- This web address is case sensitive. Be sure the "T" in Travel and the "S" in System are both capitalized, and that there is no space between the two words.
After installing the software, if you receive the following error when starting the application:
you probably have a firewall issue in your department, and you need to work with your local IT Support Staff to resolve it. Your local IT support can contact 8-HELP for the TCP/IP information.
You may also see this error if you are accessing the travel system from a non-OSU Network. If you have an OSU Internet Username and password, you should follow the instructions (Connecting to the OSUnet VPN) available from the 8help knowledge base. If this doesn't resolve the problem, your local computing support staff should contact the OIT help desk.
New users will need to download and run:
- The Travel 4.3 installation program
- The Sybase Open Client installation program
- The Sybase Initialization Program
All travel requests and requests for reimbursement must be done using the TravelSystem program; paper processing is not available.
Additional information is available at the Travel Office site.
The Travel System software will work on computers running Windows Vista or Windows XP or Windows 2000.
