Changing the Scheduled AutoUpdate Task
To change the interval at which VirusScan checks for updates, open the VirusScan Console as described above and double-click on "AutoUpdate". Select the "Schedule" button and then select the "Schedule" tab.

In this window, you can change how often to check for updates (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, On System Startup, When Idle, etc) and at what times to run those updates. Different options are available based on the update frequency you choose.

Important: We have enabled randomization on this update task so that every computer on campus, that is using VirusScan, will not attempt to update at the same time. We ask that if you modify your task that you also employ randomization to help balance the load on our Repository.
