Swen and Gibe Virus - fraudulent email from Microsoft
Two viruses are out that take the form of an e-mail message from Microsoft advising you to run the included security patch. You should NOT run the attachment. It is a copy of the virus and will infect your computer if you are running Windows. You should delete the message and attachment.
Microsoft never sends updates over e-mail. If you need to check for updates to Windows, you can do so by running Windows Update. You can do this by selecting "Windows Update" from the start menu, or from the Tools menu in Internet Explorer.
