Configuring Mozilla Thunderbird to use OSU's Directory Services (LDAP)
To configure Mozilla Thunderbird to use OSU's Directory Services (LDAP) for directory information:
- In Mozilla Thunderbird, select the Tools pull-down menu and then Account Settings.
- Under your OSU Account, select "Composition and Addressing."
- Under Addressing, select "Use a different LDAP server."
- Click the Edit Directories button.
- Click the Add button to create a new directory.
- For Name, enter: OSU Directory
- For Hostname, enter: directory.service.ohio-state.edu
- For Base DN enter: ou=People, dc=osu, dc=edu
- Click OK to save the new directory
- Select the new directory and click OK.
- Click OK once more to save your Account changes and exit Account Settings.
