Transferring a Misdialed Fax Call

Occasionally, your phone will ring from an incoming fax. This is often because the person sending the fax misdialed the fax number or had received incorrect information. To avoid having this fax "lost", it is possible to quickly transfer the incoming fax to a medium that will allow you to determine the intended location.

Once you hear fax/modem noises after picking up your phone, quickly hit the LINK key on your phone (this key may be labeled TAP, FLASH, or CONF3). Dial your own 5 digit fax number and hit LINK a second time. You may then hang up. This will transfer the incoming fax to your fax machine, thus allowing you to find out who was intended recipient.
