OSU Wireless-Cellular: Repairs (Sprint)

All Sprint phones have a 1-year warranty that begins on the date of purchase/activation. Warranty does not cover physical damage including water damage, cracked screen, broken antennae, etc. After that period, Sprint will not replace a phone.

If you need to have your Sprint phone repaired, you can call OIT - Telecom & Networking Customer Service and explain the problem.

You may have to visit a local Sprint store for a free diagnostics test. Reasons for diagnostic testing include erratic loss of signal, roaming in areas where coverage is normally available, blank screen, and problems hearing callers.

If the test fails and the phone needs to be replaced, the Sprint store representative will give you a tech ticket. Bring that tech ticket to the OIT- Telecom & Networking office, (by mail, fax, or in person), and we will order a replacement phone for you. You will be contacted once the phone has arrived (approximately 3-5 days). When you pick up your new phone, you will have to return your old phone and charger. (Please remember to write down all your phonebook entries before you pick up your new phone.)

The closest authorized Sprint Repair Location to OSU main campus is: Orbit Tech 1289 W. Lane Ave Columbus, OH 43221 Phone: 614-488-0700 FAX: (614) 488-3247

Please check the Sprint website for additional locations.

NOTE: The 1-year warranty does NOT cover liquid or physical damage.
