Sending a Fax from On Campus



The following are instructions for submitting a fax from on campus to various locations:

Sending a fax from on campus..

...to another campus fax machine:

On the fax machine, enter in the 5-digit campus number of the location you wish to fax.

...to a local off-campus fax machine:

On the fax machine, press 9 followed by the 7-digit phone number of the location you wish to fax.

...to a long distance fax machine:

  • If the campus fax machine has unrestricted long distance, simply dial 9, 1, area code, and the 7-digit phone number
  • If the campus fax machine has restricted long distance, you must use a UNITS Long Distance Authorization code. On the fax machine, dial 1, press the pause key, enter in the 6-digit authcode, press the pause key, area code, and the 7-digit phone number you wish to fax

...to an international fax machine:

  • If the campus fax machine has unrestricted long distance, simply dial 9, 011, country code, city code (optional), and the phone number.
  • If the campus fax machine has restricted long distance, you must use a UNITS Long Distance Authorization code. Dial 1, press the pause key, enter in the 6-digit authcode, press the pause key, followed by 011, country code, city code (optional), and the phone number.
