Internet Explorer Setup for Downloading to Excel While Using PeopleSoft
If you are experiencing difficulty using the Download to Excel feature in the Financials system and if you have updated Windows recently or made other security changes, you may need to add the Financials system URL as a Trusted Site in IE.
The basic steps for setting up the Financials URL as an IE Trusted Site are provided below and will also be included in a forthcoming ASSIST Downloading to Excel job aid.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Open the Tools menu.
- Select Internet Options.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Click the Trusted Sites graphic.
- Click Sites button.
- Type https://*.erp.ohio-state.edu in the field marked "Add this Web site to the Zone".
- Note: The asterisk (*) is a wild card and it will cover all secure Web servers that we host as Trusted Sites.
- Click Add.
- Click OK.
- Click OK again to close the Internet Options box.
