Anti-Spam Service: Reviewing Trapped Messages
Once you have set your default stream, the Anti-spam filter will begin trapping messages. To review and determine the correct action or status for these messages, you will want to review the trapped messages.
NOTE: Trapped messages will remain in the system for review for 7 days. After 7 days messages remaining in the trap that have not been acted upon will be silently discarded.
- Open your Internet browser.
- Go to the CanIt-PRO login page at antispam.osu.edu.
- Type your lastname.# and OSU Internet Username password, then click the Log In button.
- Click Pending Messages in the Current Statistics frame.
-OR-
Click Trap Contents in the CanIt Spam Trap toolbar.
- Review Pending messages. Under "Score", the colored number is the basic Spam Trap score; the higher the number, the "spammier" the message based on the filter's built-in rules. The percentage number in parenthesis (if present) represents the likelihood that the message is spam based on your personal Bayesian training corpus.
