OSU Wireless-Network: Mac OS X "No Explicit Trust Settings" Certificate Message



Receiving this certificate message is normal and can be dealt with quite easily:

If trust settings have not yet been set for the osuwireless certificate in 10.4 (Tiger), this message will appear.

  • Click Show Certificate

    Your screen should look like the one above

  • Check the Always trust these certificates check box.
  • Click the Trust Settings triangle to show more settings.
  • Select Always Trust from the "When using this certificate" pull down menu.

  • Click Continue.

From now on, the certificate will always be trusted and you will no longer be prompted to accept it. If you prefer to always be prompted with this message to accept the certificate, choose Ask Permission from the "When using this certificate" pull down menu.
