Carmen: Unzip a File in Carmen



When you use a utility like WinZip (for Windows) or Zipit (for Macintosh) to compress and upload several files at the same time, you will need to use Carmen's Manage Files area to unzip the files before you can access them.

  1. Select Content from the course navigation bar.
  2. The main Content page appears.
  3. Click Manage Files link .
  4. Locate the zipped folder (it will be in a separate column after the filename).
  5. Click Zipped file icon to unzip the files.
  6. A dialog box appears prompting you whether to continue. Click OK.
  7. The file is then unzipped into the Manage Files area where you can access the contents.
