Self-Service E-mail Forwarding
It is possible to forward your OSU e-mail to another valid e-mail address by simply filling out an on-line form. It is also possible to change from forwarding your e-mail back to keeping it at OSU from this same page.
Most of the e-mail from OSU administrtive offices use your OSU e-mail address in the form of lastname.##@osu.edu. If you prefer to receive e-mail at only one address, forwarding your e-mail may be of interest to you. Be sure to enter your e-mail address correctly as an error would cause your e-mail from OSU to go to an incorrect on invalid e-mail address.
To change your e-mail forwarding using a web browser of your choice go to the web address of oit.osu.edu, click on the Account Management link in the red box on the left hand side of the page. Next click on the osu.edu E-mail tab at the top of the page, and finally the Change Delivery. If you are unsure if your e-mail is forwarding, or would like to check to see what address is being used, you can click on the View delivery settings tab and view the current settings.
After you change your forwarding we suggest you send a test message to make sure the e-mail is forwarding properly as you expected. If you have any spam filtering active either on the
OSU Antispam system or on the e-mail system your are forwarding to, those filters will be active. One or both of those filters could prevent your e-mail that looks like spam from being received.
