Anti-Spam - Faculty / Staff Using Simple Interface
If a faculty or staff member wishes to use the simple interface, and get the same protection that was automatically given to students, please perform the following steps:
- Log into Anti-Spam at http://antispam.osu.edu
- Click on Simplified Interface if the option is there
- Click on " I want my email scanned at a MEDIUM setting with 50% of the email that is most likely spam will be auto-rejected and not delivered"
- Click on "Set Spam-Scanning Level"
- Click "Log Out"
NOTE: The Simplified Interface does not utilize the whitelists or the blacklists. The trap will also not be utilized; no messages will be held for the user to accept. The Simplified Interface uses its own Bayesian filter, not the filter set by the user. There will also be no training links at the bottom of e-mail messages. These settings will be dormant while a user is using the Simplified Interface.
Once a user goes back to using the Expert Interface, all of the user's previous settings will still be there, the trap and links will be usable again. Help in using the Expert Interface is available in the following article: http://8help.osu.edu/2746.html
