Descriptions of the Anti-Spam Service Simplified Interface settings
None of these methods take advantage of the Spam Trap, or any whitelisting or blacklisting features that are available in the Expert Interface, and may be further utilized by Training the filter

- I want to Opt out of the Anti Spam system - NOT RECOMMENDED
- This option will scan for trojans and viruses as well as e-mail on the Real Time Block List only.
- There is no Bayesian or Roaring Penguin scanning at this leve.
- All e-mail will be scanned for viruses and trojans. Any found will be discarded.
- E-mail will have a score in the headers. Headers may be scanned by e-mail clients like Eudora, Outlook, and Thunderbird (can not be scanned in Outlook Express)
- E-mail will have a score in the subject line. All major e-mail clients have the ability to filter by subject line
- Does affect the subject line and the spam score may be sent back on a reply.
- All e-mail will be scanned for viruses and trojans. Any found will be discarded
- E-mail will have a score in the headers. Headers may be scanned by e-mail clients like Eudora, Outlook, and Thunderbird (can not be scanned in Outlook Express)
- Least intrusive of all of the methods.
- Any e-mail with a spam score of 20.5 or higher is discarded
- Any e-mail with a spam score of 6.2 or higher is discarded
- Any e-mail with a spam score of 6.5 or higher is discarded
The Spam Score is determined by scanning the e-mail and looking for tendencies that spammers use. The higher the score, the more likely e-mail is spam.
Though the HIGH setting uses the higher number, there are additional rules called Bayesian filters, which could potentially bring an initially lower scoring message higher. The HIGH setting uses more stringent Bayesian filters than Medium.
