Mailing List (Listserv) Messages Not Being Sent
If you're expecting mail from an OSU Listprocessor mailing list and not receiving it:
- Double check the name of the list to ensure that it is correct and that it is being sent to listname@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu
- Check for missing list messages in AntiSpam if you're using it, or in your e-mail client's spam or junk folder.
- Listproc (the OSU mailing list program) cycles through command and message queues roughly every 15 minutes, so it could be up to a half hour or more depending on the load of the mail systems.
- Have the list owner check to see that you are subscribed to the list, and with the correct address.
- To test to see if it is working, it is suggested that you send a mail to the list and a copy to yourself. If you receive the message to yourself and not the list then the chances are there is a problem with the list.
