MS Excel 2003: Adding A Bullet To A Cell

Microsoft Excel 2003 does not include a built-in method for inserting bulleted items into cells within a spreadsheet. It is possible, however, to insert symbols into cells which can take the place of a bullet-point. To do so:

  1. Select the cell where you want to add a bullet.
  2. Put your cursor in the Formula Bar (located near the top of the window ). Be sure the cursor is specifically where you want to add the bullet.
  3. Go to the Insert pull-down menu.
  4. Choose Symbol.
  5. Select the symbol you'd like to use as your "bullet".
  6. Repeat as needed.
