How do I change my list so that replies go only to the sender / to the entire list?
Whether replies to a message from a listserv go to the sender of that message or back to the entire list is an option which list owners have at the time the list is created. If list owners wish to change this configuration after the list has been created, they can do it by e-mailing the listprocessor at:
listproc@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu
with no subject, and in the body of the message put:
conf listname listpassword reply-to-sender
--where listname and listpassword are the correct information for your list. This will set the list so that when someone hits "reply" to a message from the list, the reply will go to only the original sender of the message.
OR
conf listname listpassword reply-to-list
--this will set the list so that when someone hits "reply" to a message from the list, the reply will go back to everyone subscribed to the list.
This change can also be made from the Mailing List Server Interface page, by filling out the listname, list password, and owner e-mail address, then clicking on "Change List Settings".
