Carmen: Unable to View Edit Course Navigation Bar



If you have sufficient access to a course in Carmen, and are unable to view the Navigation options under the "Edit Course" links, try adjusting the standard text size in your web browser to display smaller:

Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Go to the View pull-down menu and select Text Size.
  3. Select a view that is smaller there the current setting -- For example, it the text size is set to "Largest" set it to "Medium" and the Navigation Bar should appear.

Firefox: (note: Firefox v1.5 is currently a supported browser for use with Carmen).

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Go to the View pull-down menu and select Text Size.
  3. Select "Decrease".
  4. Repeat this action until the Navigation Bar is visible. You can also toggle the font size using the keyboard by pressing CTRL++ (CTRL and the + key) to increase, and CTRL+- (CTRL and the - key) to decrease.
