Where to get Disk Copy



If Disk Copy wasn't found in the utilities folder:
  1. Go to the File Menu and down to find.
  2. Search for "Disk Copy".
Disk Copy should be on the OS 8.0 CDs and up.

If Disk Copy wasn't found on the computer:
  1. Insert the OS CD.
  2. Open the Utilities folder (you might have to scroll down).
  3. Copy Disk Copy from the Utilities Folder on the CD to the Utilities Folder on your hard drive.
Disk Copy can be downloaded from http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
  1. Type in Disk Copy.
  2. Hit search.
  3. Click on Disk Copy.
  4. Select the version of disk first aid for operating system that they have. Version 6.2 or up will be needed to use .img files and .smi files version 6.3 is recommended.
  5. Click on Download.
  6. The file should automaticaly expand. If not, double click on it.
  7. Once it's expanded drag the disk copy folder to your Utilities Folder.
