Accessing Local Resources (Printers, Drives) From Remote Desktop
Local resources such as printers and disks can be accessed on a remote machine connected to via Remote Desktop. These resources cannot however be connected on the fly and must be connected when Remote Desktop connection is made. You must also tell Remote Desktop to connect these resources before connecting to the remote machine.
To connect these resources, open Remote Desktop and enter the address as normal, then select Options. Under the Local Resources tab you can select what local resources should be connected. A warning box will come up before you connect with these options, warning that they may pose a security risk, but once dismissed will not reappear this session. You may then select Connect to connect as normal to the remote machine.
