Listserv digest subscriber gets the digest's table of contents, but not the messages.
If a list subscriber in digest mode is only getting the table of contents for the digest and not the actual messages, the cause is likey the subscriber's e-mail client.
Listserv digests are sent with MIME-encapsulation by default, and if the subscriber's e-mail program isn't able to properly handle MIME, then they will get blank messages from the list, or digest messages with only the table of contents and none of the actual messages.
The easiest fix for this is to set that user's mail setting to send simple digests rather than MIME digests. To do this, the subscriber should send mail to:
listproc@lists.acs.ohio-state.edu
with no subject, and in the body of the message put:
set listname mail digest-nomime
--where listname should be replaced with the correct name for the list. This will configure the listproc to send that subscriber simple digests, rather than the default MIME digests.
