Adaptec CD Creator conflicts with McAfee VirusScan
There is a conflict between Adaptec Direct CD (part of Easy CD Creator) and McAfee VirusScan which can lead to system problems including whole system crashes.
To resolve this conflict, uninstall Direct CD (leaving Easy CD Creator itself installed), and then re-install McAfee ViruScan.
