Checking E-mail with Eudora from multiple locations: "Leave mail on server" settings

Reading e-mail from multiple locations:

The easiest way to read your OSU Internet e-mail from multiple locations is to use OSU Webmail. For assistance in using the service, see our How To Use OSU Webmail article.

If you're not using OSU Webmail:

OIT recommends that all machines you'll be using to check e-mail be running the same version of Eudora. The latest version of Eudora is available from the OSU SLS Web site.

In order to see the same messages from different locations, you'll need to configured Eudora to leave mail on the server.

To do this in Eudora on a Windows machine, go to the Tools pull-down menu and choose Options. Under the "Incoming Mail" category, the following options should be turned on (e.g., a checkmark or a dot appears in the box next to the option).
    Leave mail on server
Delete from server after ___ days (specify a number of days, no more than 10)
Delete from server when emptied from Trash
On a Macintosh, go to the Special pull-down menu and choose Settings. Under the "Checking Mail" category, place a check in the box for the following options:
Leave mail on server for ____ days (specify a number of days, no more than 10)
Delete from server when emptied from Trash
Important: If you only read mail at home or only in your office, turn the option "Leave mail on server" off. This prevents mail from building up and exceeding the maximum amount of e-mail you can store on the server. When the amount of mail stored in your account reaches the limit of your allotted storage space, no new mail will be accepted and messages will bounce back to the sender informing them your account is over quota. More information about quotas on the OIT central e-mail system can be found here.
