Citrix Setup & Connection Instructions for Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP
The instructions that follow explain how to set up the Citrix ICA client for Windows.
- First download the Presentation Server Client install
file from the Download Clients page at the Citrix web site:
http://www.citrix.com
- When the download is finished, locate and double-click
on the installer file called ica32.exe.
Use the defaults for the installation.
- Once the software has been installed, open Citrix
Program Neighborhood (from your desktop or from within Start/All
Programs).

- Click Settings.

- Select TCP/IP from the Network Protocol drop-down
menu and then click Add.

- Type ica.service.ohio-state.edu and click OK.
- Click OK to close the Custom ICA Connections dialog
box.

- Double-click on Add ICA Connection.

- Be certain the connection type is
the default option
Local Area Network, and click Next

- Do the following:
Type a name of your choice for the connection.
Select TCP/IP from the drop-down menu.

- Select Published Application and then select Arms Server Farm from the drop-down menu.
- Click Next.
- Select View in a remote desktop window and click Next.
- Select 128 Bit from the Encryption Level drop-down
menu and click Next.

- Do not fill in your username, password, etc.; just click Next.

- Make sure Windows Colors are set to at least 256 colors
or higher (depending on the computer, not all users may be
able to do 24 bit).
- Set Percent of Screen Size to at least 75 (although you
can choose a smaller or larger value, 75 is recommended).
- Click Next.

- Click Finish.
The new connection now appears in the "Citrix Program Neighborhood"
window. If you like, you can make a shortcut for your desktop.
- To connect, double-click on the connection icon. You will be prompted for your username and password.
