Dial-Up Networking taking over in Windows ME
After a LAN/Office connected computer is disconnected there is a feature in Windows ME that will default to the Dial Up Networking (A "Connect To..." box appears when trying to access e-mail or the Internet.)
This feature can be disabled after the network connection has been re-established.
To disable this feature:
- Go to Start, Settings, and Dial-Up Networking.
- In the new Window, right-click on the dial-up connection icon, and choose Properites.
- Click on the "Dialing" tab.
- Uncheck "This is the default Internet connection"
