Mailing List Web Interface: Commands Available
The following options are availble from the Mailing List Web Interface (also known as the List Owner's Management Tool), located at: https://oit.osu.edu/listserv/index.php.
Add Subscribers to List:
Fill in the blanks with up to 10 people to add to your list.
Use subscriber's name and e-mail address. Uncheck the 'Quiet! Don't let them know they're being added to my list!' box at the top to have the listprocessor send mail to your new subscribers letting them know they've been added.
Remove Subscriber from List:
If you would like subscribers removed from your list type in their e-mail address, up to 10 at a time. If you owner wants all subscribers removed from your list, send e-mail to 8help@osu.edu and include the last 5 digits of your social security number or the list password for verification.
Request List of Subscribers:
Click the button and you will receive e-mail with the list of subscribers.
Change E-Mail Address on Server:
This button can change your owner e-mail address on the server.
To be safe, we recommend using the 'Add New Owner to List' and 'Remove Owner from List' options instead, so that the new address can be tested before the old one is removed.
Change List Password:
Use this button to change your list password.
Add New Owner to List:
Use this button to supply additional owner email addresses.
Remove Owner from List:
Use this button to remove an owners e-mail address from your list.
Request List of all Lists:
Use this button to request a list of 'published' lists on the OSU listprocessor, lists.acs.ohio-state.edu. By default all lists on the OSU listprocessor are private and are not on this list unless the owner has made them public or your address is already an owner and/or subscriber.
Change List Settings:
Use this button to change list configuration settings that were selected at the time the list was created, including who can send to the list, how replies are handled, how list subscriptions are controlled, and whether or not the list is moderated.
