Installing Matlab on a Macintosh platform
First you must install X11. See this article on how to do that.
- Insert the DVD into your drive.
- Note: If the disc is not recgonized be sure that you have a DVD reader.
- Open up the disc once it has appeard on your desktop.
- Double click on InstallForMacOSX in the window that pops up.
- Click Continue.
- Read through the terms of agreement and select "Yes" and click Continue if you agree.
- To save in the "Applications" folder of your hard drive click Continue or selct another folder.
- Locate the license.dat file that was sent to you in an e-mail from Customer Services.
- If you cannot open it right click on the file and go to open with. Choose "TextEdit"
- Copy the entire file contents and paste them into the text box in the MatLab installation.
- Click Continue.
- Click Continue.
- Setup will now install the software. This may take several minutes.
- Click Finish.
