OSU Surplus
The Controller's Office has recently moved to a new surplus management system. This requires users to create an account if they are unaffiliated. Upon reaching the surplus site (https://www.ctlr.ohio-state.edu/su/public.aspx) users should be presented with a login (for non-affiliated users), along with these instructions:
Public Buyer
- Purchases are subject to University terms and conditions.
- Select the Surplus Inventory tab to see the inventory in the Surplus Warehouse.
- Select the Buyer Registration tab to register an account and select preferences.
- If you have already registered an account with us you can login (on the right) to update and/or view your personal information and preferences.
- Login with your OSU Internet Username to see items available for purchase in Surplus and in departments.
- Select the Surplus Inventory tab to see the inventory in the Surplus Warehouse.
- Select the Department Inventory tab to view items still located in the Department and available for transfer to other OSU departments.
- Items approved for disposal by one department
- are available for transfer to another department,
- are available for purchase by another department, and
- are not available for personal purchase.
- Have your Surplus Coordinator initiate the transfer on your behalf.
- Login to create, manage and approve disposal requests.
- The form and instructions to register as a Surplus Coordinator are available on the Controller's Office forms page.
This site is ONLY compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.0 or later.
Affiliated users who wish to use the Surplus system must follow the employee login link, then login with their standard lastname.# and password.
