  1. Log into Gmail.
  2. Click on Settings in the top-right corner.
  3. Click the "Accounts" tab in the main window.
  4. Look for the 2nd area, "Get mail from other accounts", and click on Add a mail account you own.
  5. In the window that pops up, for Email address add your OSU e-mail address: lastname.#@osu.edu
  6. Click Next Step.
  7. In the next screen, put in your Password for your OSU Internet username. For POP Server enter: pop.service.ohio-state.edu

  8. Leave the Port at 110, you can click "Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server." if you are still going to use Webmail. Make sure to leave "Always use a secure connection (SSL)" unchecked. The last two options are based on your preference for OSU e-mail.
  9. Click Add Account.
  10. Gmail will then ask "Would you also like to be able to send mail as lastname.#@osu.edu?" You may click Yes or No based on your own preferences.
  11. Click on Next Step.
  12. If you clicked No on Step 10, you are done. If you clicked Yes on Step 10, then continue on:
  13. It will then ask you the display Name you would like to use to send e-mail. Enter your name as you want it to appear in the "From" field of outgoing messages, and click Next Step.
  14. Gmail will ask to send a verification e-mail to your OSU address to ensure you do own it.
  15. Check your OSU e-mail to get the message, and follow the instructions in the e-mail sent.

Please note that only messages in the OSU Webmail Inbox will be imported to Gmail.
