IE8 and OSU Admin System (i.e. HR/SIS, Financials & eReports)
UPDATE ABOUT IE8 - Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is now confirmed as compatible with the Financials System and HR/SIS, but not for eReports. Also, staff using eStores will require a setting change to IE8. The eReports Team still recommends IE7 as the primary browser for use with eReports. Oracle has yet to certify Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) for use with PeopleSoft.
Since Microsoft is planning to push IE8 as part of its update options prior to May 2009, OIT is recommending that individuals using the OSU Administrative Systems continue to use Internet Explorer 7 (IE7).
OIT continues working with Oracle to test and determine any major issues using IE8 with the HR/SIS and Financials System in addition to the issues already discovered between eReports and IE8.
Known Issues with IE8 and eReports:
The eReports Support Team has received inquiries from early adopters of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). Issues include not being able to access parameter pages or static file content using eReports with IE8.
