Buckeye Mail Automatically Removes Potentially Unsafe Attachments
Buckeye Mail, like Microsoft Outlook, automatically removes some types of attachments it considers "potentially unsafe" - for both sending and receiving.
Removed attachments will include a note (in Buckeye Mail, a yellow banner at the top) that potentially unsafe attachments have been removed.
Blocked attachment types include executable files and common virus file-types such as: .exe , .com, .bat, .wdb, .scr, .pif, .js, and more. See Blocked attachments in Outlook for the full list of blocked attachment types.
In order to send and receive attachments, please compress them using a zip program, or rename them to a different file extension (making sure to inform your recipients of what is needed to access the file).
