No Profile / Profile Not Created Error On Sallie Mae Websites (Direct Deposit, Guardian Login)

Sallie Mae account profile has not been created yet.

If you are receiving the above error (or something similar), and are unable to log into Sallie Mae to set up direct deposit information for refunds, or guardian ePay, first confirm that you have activated your OSU Internet Username and have a campus e-mail address in PeopleSoft. You can confirm this through the Student Center, Personal Information section. Look for an "OSU Email" address listed in the bottom right of the Contact Information box - if there isn't one there, you will not be able to establish a direct deposit profile or a guardian account.

If you don't have campus e-mail address, try to activate your OSU Internet Username through our Account Management website, under "OSU Internet Username" and "Activate account". Your campus mail address should be displayed on Student Center the following day.

Note: Allow 2 business days after initial account activation for Sallie Mae's system to be updated.

If you receive an error that your account is already activated, contact the IT Service Desk at 614-688-HELP (4357), or by e-mail at 8help@osu.edu .

If you have a campus e-mail address that is at least 48 hours old and still receive a “no profile” error on the Sallie Mae site, there may be discrepancies in other data between SIS and Sallie Mae causing the login problems. In that case, please contact the Bursar's office at bursar@osu.edu - they have access to view data in both systems, and if necessary, can create a profile for you.
