OSU Wireless-Network: Setup for Android OS
Connecting Android OS devices to Osuwireless
Note: First, create an OSUWireless USERNAME and PASSWORD at the OIT Account Management site
- Go to 'All Programs' and select 'Settings'.
- Scroll down and select 'Wireless Controls'.
- Select 'Wifi Settings'
- You need to select the 'Wifi' check box within to turn on the wifi adapter in order to configure a connection.
- Under Wi-Fi networks you will see a list of available networks, if you see 'osuwireless' select that to configure. If you do not see it, proceed to manual configure below.
- In the pull down menu of 'EAP Type', select 'PEAP'. In the 'Sub Type' pull down menu, select 'PEAPv0/MSCHAPv2'.
- In the 'username' field enter your Name.#w.
- In the password field enter your wireless password (not your Kerberos/email pwd).
- Select Connect. The account settings, including username/password are now saved and you will connect automatically when 'osuwireless' is in range.
- Scroll to the bottom and select 'Add Wi-Fi Network'
- In 'Network SSID' enter 'osuwireless'
- Scroll down to 'Security' and select 'WPA Enterprise'
- Scroll down to 'EAP Type' and select 'PEAP'
- Scroll down to 'Sub type' and select 'PEAPv0/MSCHAPv2'.
- Scroll down and enter your Name.#w in the username field, and your osuwireless password in the password field (not your Kerberos/email pwd).
- Select save and you with connect. The account settings, including username/password are now save and you will connect automatically when 'osuwireless' is in range.
