Microsoft Outlook Blocks Potentially Unsafe Attachments
Microsoft Outlook blocks certain attachments if they are of "unsecure" file types. Blocked attachment types include .exe, .com, .bat, as well as common virus types such as .scr, .pif, and .js.
To fix the problem, you can have the attachment resent as another file type (for example, .zip or renamed to something else) or edit the registry.
For the full list of blocked attachment types, see Blocked attachments in Outlook.
Instructions for editing the registry can be found in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
