Cluster Account Application



This form will allow you to request a cluster account.

For what purpose are the accounts needed?


Who is authorized to adjust accounts on the cluster (who advises OIT when someone is no longer to have access to the cluster or when someone should be given access to the cluster)? This person MUST be a Faculty or Staff member. There can be more than one person who can do this.



Will correspondence be limited to the OSU campus? Yes No

If not, your choice for the account username should be no more than eight characters in length.

What would you like your username (login name) to be? You might want to indicate a first and a second choice. Your e-mail address will be username@osu.edu. Note: It must be at least four characters in length, may contain hyphens, and may not contain either an '&' or a '+'.

Please provide the name, ID number, and e-mail address for each individual who will need to access this account.


The ID number must be an OSU employee ID number or BuckID number. Please specify which form of identification is given.

This account will be accessible through a POP connection from a program such as Eudora, Outlook, etc. We strongly suggest that all account activity take place on a single PC or Mac to simplify file storage. The account will also be accessible through OSU Webmail.

The creation of this cluster account can take up to 5 working days. Once the account is set up, I will send email to the owner of the cluster with the account information. Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can be of further assistance.
